I like photographing vehicles. Old, new, cars, trucks, farm and construction equipment. Anything mechanical that moves (or moved) around, really. Whole vehicles and details. Vehicles are a visual cornucopia of shapes, textures, surfaces, colours, and lines. I can’t resist a good show and shine, or a junkyard, or any other opportunity. It probably helps that I’ve had some experience working on vehicles, and have put truly ridiculous mileage on vehicles on two continents.
I’ve divided the vehicles into two categories, rough and showy/shiney. Most of the images in this gallery were taken in junkyards, especially on IACC excursions to Aldon’s Salvage in Lamont, Alberta.
